Not quite ready to download
keyspeake is still being built. There's no public release yet, and we'd rather say that plainly than hand you an install command that doesn't work. Leave your email and you'll hear the moment there's something real to install.
Get notified at launch
One email when it's ready. No spam, no newsletter, no sharing your address with anyone.
What it'll run on
Linux, x86_64. Wayland and X11 — Hyprland, Sway, Niri, GNOME, and KDE. It installs as a single package with the background service and the desktop app together, so there's no terminal setup to do afterwards.
What you'll need
An API key from a transcription provider — Groq's free tier works for most people — or the local whisper.cpp engine bundled in the standard build if you'd rather run fully offline. The setup wizard walks you through picking one, and you can change your mind later.

The docs cover how it works, which transcription backends are supported, and how configuration is stored. Theprivacy policy explains exactly what does and doesn't leave your machine.
